Filippo Fraggetta was born in Catania (Italy) in 1970; he graduated in Medicine (1994) and became surgical pathologist in 1998. He is Head of the Pathology unit at Cannizzaro Hospital since 2011 and Consultant at Gravina Hospital in Caltagirone since 2018.
He is President of the Italian Society of Pathology. He strongly believes in the benefits of Digital Pathology and in the real world application of the digital pathology including the use of AI tool in routine.
He is also author of several papers in the field of digital pathology.
